I have started to replace many of the parts in my MO3 Mini with the GPM aluminium parts and look they look great. However, some of the hop-ups I want are made only by Tamiya or GPM, so I will have to mix parts of different manufaturers. I'm wondering if the colours will match of the different blue anodised parts. I want some Tamiya TRF dampers (and other assorted Tamiya parts), but I want the two colours of blue to be an exact match, otherwise I will find something else.

Can anyone that has two both Tamiya and GPM parts give me their opinion on the colour match? I'm quite a perfectionist, so be quite critical about the match.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, i had the same problem with my TT01.All the parts i can get as alluminium replacements are by GPM or Tamiya.

Now the bad(ish) bit, one is blue, while the other is more turquoise

(Blue/Green) I cant remember which, though there is a noticeable difference. To me, it didnt matter, ive got the parts, but if your after 100% colour match then its no good i guess.

You could always buy whatever you need and spray them all the same?

Just a thought!

Cheers and good luck with it

Thanks for your reply! I thought this might be the case, but it isn't too much of a problem. I will just get the non coloured Tamiya parts or have a different colour, so I could have a two tone effect with the chassis, I'll have to think about the latter though, I don't know how it would look.
