Hey XanderP I notice you're from Edinburgh, I can't tell from your picture how old you are but if you're of a certain age and you're into techno you may remember "P u r e" @ the Venue. Anyway, I used to work there, 91 to 93, back in the days before it all went "mainstream"

XanderP 1 Posted March 16, 2006 Cool lots of nice places to run Tamiyas around their, there doesn't seem to be a big RC scene around Scotland []. Do you know Wonderlandmodels on Lothian road, quite good choice but the prices are high, same with Marionville models near Edinburgh airport, next to the ?Maybury? casino. P.S I'm a city boy so Arthers seat is the only bit in the city with some nice offroad areas where I can bash me Rc's.
T.C~Tamiya 2 Posted March 16, 2006 Yup, got my first R/C from Wonderland in 84, a Frog, spent many hours in there looking at stuff I couldn't afford to buy[] Marionville is good too, nice people in there, to be honest though I buy most stuff online now though as prices are better. If you run your cars on Arthur's seat, be careful not to run em off any cliffs. LOL
Tamiya King 1 Posted March 16, 2006 By The Way, Thanks for holding the rims, but i've got a set, LMK How much you want, i'll still have em depending on tyre condition! Mike Mike, I actually ran into a bit of luck on eBay today, so for just shipping, they are yours. I sent email. Cheers!
XanderP 1 Posted March 16, 2006 If you run your cars on Arthur's seat, be careful not to run em off any cliffs. LOL Yeah big cliffs + rc = bad! No I usally run on the long bumpy jumpy paths dodging silly dogs and the like. Theres a nice spot with a MASSIVE flat rock at a nice agle with a 10ft drop onto some grass underneath so if you find any dead rc car parts there, you all know who's they are! scoobs 0 Posted March 21, 2006 That's a Chinook. I'm Scared at how sure you are! The trick is to guess, but appear completely confident. If by any chance I'm right (by a complete fluke), then I look kinda clever...[]
fatboyslim 11 Posted March 21, 2006 I'd have to say... An Apache! Mike Definitely not one of them!! I'm saying Lynx,as he's sat by the side door, plus the Chinook only has square windows in the cockpit!!
