Now this looks interesting...

And, it's ONLY available as a kit! Hooray HPI! And I'm extremely intrigued by the "all-new selection of classic sports cars from the pages of history." The Z-car looks good; can't wait to see what else they come out with.

I really like this also. I think they out did Tamiya with this chassis. With the huge adjustments in wheel base, width, and scale this is what Tamiya should of did years ago. Tower Hobbies has it listed but I think the price is a bit high right now. It should go down when they have them in stock. HPI also has the FWD Mini chassis that has adjustable wheel base and can fit all of the nice bodies from ABC on it. That one might be a bit cheaper as its E10 based and more simple.

I like this car too. I may get one. They should add an RX-7 in there too. Also, don't buy from tower right when something comes out. They always price higher before stuff is released. BUT, if you just cannot wait and the price goes down, ask for a credit. They will usually give it to you.

True scale it is not! A TRUE scale chassis would also mimic the layout and drive of the body sitting on top of it so it also has the same balance and feel of the 1:1 it was based on. How many 4WD AE86's did Toyota release? I don't recall seeing any 4WD Z-cars from Nissan/Datsun either. For these 2 bodies the motor should be between the front wheels facing north/south with the gearbox behind it and driveshaft running to the rear diff and a saddle pack battery mounted where each seat would be.

Just another 4WD 'M' chassis car with a few recycled innovations to me. (HPI MRS4 had adjustable wheelbase and track too). HPI do make quality chassis though, so I can't argue that fact.

There is also the FWD Switch that is coming out also. It is "M" chassis size with adjustable wheel base and a low front so all the nice ABC bodies are not problem.
