TWINSET 1793 Posted March 26, 2009 Great - thanks! What cars use this chassis and is it any good? For suitable bodies, you need 190mm width and 257mm wheelbase You can use 200mm wide bodies if you get deeper offset wheels like HPI's vintage wheels Tamiya, HPI and Proline all make suitable shells for it For a list of cars that used this chassis; http://www.tamiyaclub.com/chassis.asp?id=85&desc=TL01 The TL-01's a good sturdy chassis, the main downer I ever found was stones flicking into the motor vents from the front wheels - get a cheap wraparound heatsink and that'll sort most of it out
paul_m 1 Posted March 26, 2009 Thanks for all the info. Looks like this could be the basis of a nice little project for me.
subsea 0 Posted March 26, 2009 I have had one of these for years and it is basicly an entry level touring car chassis which has now been replaced by the TT01. I have converted mine into a off-road truck. Mine handled great on the track (but i did have loads of hop-ups installed). A few friends had them and they handled like a dog.
