removal of paint from bodyshells

bought a monster beetle which is in good condition, except for the bodyshell! it is in need for a new paint job desperately. looks like there are a few coats of different coloured paint which has made all the detail lines dissapear. anyone know what i could use to remove the paint???

i use brake fluid or i have heard that oven cleaner can be used aswell

do i soak the whole body in brake fluid, or rub it down with brake fluid?

Brake fluid is a popular choice, I would search the forums as this topic has been covered loads.

I used Oven Cleaner, sprayed the body down on my King Blackfoot, sealed it up in a garbage bag, and let it sit for an hour or so, run it under warm water and brush it with a soft bristled brush, comes right off.
