With 4 kids and you have a hobby! Hats off to you and the Mrs. Keep going to boot or garage sale and you will pick up a good deal now and than. I have sold part of my collection to fund the stuff I want. Good thing I am not as crazy as I used to be for Tamiya stuff.

Head of UK Operations for National Geographic Channel. Very grand title for what basically involves me being a HUGE nerd looking after all the aspects involved in getting our 4 channels to air and keeping our post production (TV editing/production) environment going for us and the FX Channel (Fox in the UK). I get to play with some very expensive gadgets at work and this very much carries over into my hobby world! RC trucks is so far removed from what I do every day at work that it is a great way of 'chillaxing' as the kids say.

I'm a qualified motor mechanic and panelbeater/spray painter (not panel fitter like the modern panelbeaters). Not worked in the industry since 1994 after I was run over and it done nasty things to my back.

Retrained as a PC tech and worked for others for a few years until I opened my own PC shop which sadly has gone bust 2 months ago because of the poor economic climate (was costing more to keep the doors open than I was making).

Lately I've been mowing lawns (pumped up on pain killers) to fund my RC addiction.

Married with 4 boys (age 7->14), currently living off the wife's income and being a Mr Mum. :o

I am a mapping technician for the local power company. We work in autocad based programs to map out all of our electrical components that we own. It's pretty fun and pays well. It's also an Electrical Union job which makes for a little added job security...

Of course I've been spending money on RC stuff long before I even had a job (junior highschool)... :o

Chartered Accountant FC for offshore subsidiary of a global bank. After an initial splurge I have reigned it in and now have a monthly RC budget and once it's gone it's gone, so I have a few bits and bobs up for grabs.

i work as a retail parts advisor for a VW & Audi dealership in Surrey, been there for around 6 years now. I'm a qualified technician, tho prefer to do that when it suits me! Its the perfect job for me, as I love vw's, so get to see them everyday!

I have parents who fund me a little money every month, plus all the food and a decent roof and such (I live at home, still only 17 :o)

My job is irritating people in the local village by dumping loaaads of advertisements in their mail box (I wouldn't call it a decent job as a postman) and in the summer I work in a cafe on the edge of a lake (where they also rent boats) - Fun job, makes good money - but working 4 days a week makes for a busy summer holiday!

I'm a Technical Assistant in a Geological Exploration company. I get to see a lot of the outdoors and wildlife and also do lots of four wheel driving. It pays reasonably well and the work is very sporadic. I'm single so apart from spending money spoiling my cat I can fund my R/C nicely

At the moment I am sat at the controls of a 850,000hp steam turbine/generator producing 660MW of electricity to power up to 1,000,000 households. Quite scarey when i think about it.
