Disappointing local tamiya Agent

Sometime i am really disappointed with my local tamiya agent.When ever i email them for the price or part of any truck or buggy,they will tell me is out of stock.And there is no reply when i ask when is the next shippment.I can see that they are into tour car series.I really hope that i stay in HK where part and kit are easily available and cheap.[]

Unfortunately, this is rather typical. I guess most Tamiyclub-members are demanding and especially conscious customers from Tamiya's and Tamiya-distributors' perspectives, but there is no denying that the level of knowledge, enthusiasm and interest in anything but selling the largest possible number of items are quite low at many of the distributors. I perfectly well appreciate that the distributors are into Tamiya for making a profit and not for "playing with models", but a little "old-fashioned" enthusiasm and customer care surely wouldn't hurt. I won't pinpoint any specific company, but I could easily list several "bad" European Tamiya distributors and from what I experience, the good ones are pretty rare in most countries outside Europe too.

I am very glad with the tamiya holland distributer. He answers emails very polite and parts are easy to get when you emailed him.

hey everyone. I have found that although my local hobby shops are heavy into RC, (and some not so local) they are very quick to say "out of stock" for Tamiya Parts and won't tell me how long before they can get parts. I recently experienced a very high frustration trying to get some stock TXT-1 parts from LHS. So, I took matters into my own hands, called the exclusive distributor for Canada. VOILA ! Had all the parts except for one ! Cheers,

Oh, and for those in Canada, Tamiya uSA WILL NOT SHIP PARTS to Canada, only available through the Distributor. Talk about a LOOP !
