O.S. 12CV-X Pull Start Engine

Hi all!

I just ordered a 'O.S. 12CV-X Pull Start [OSMG11242]Engine' for my Tamiya TG10-Mk.1 Subaru Impreza WRC 2001 [44034]. I just realized that the 'carburetor' is positioned the other way around if compared to the Tamiya FS-12LT engine (supplied with the kit) and there is no way that the servo can reach the throttle arm!

Can the carburetor be turned around? How about the servo - must I use the 'reverse switch' on the transmitter? Since I don't know much on engines, can somebody please,please help me!

Usually the carb should just be held in with basically a nut and bolt,the bolt is usually shaped a certain way to hold the carb.

You should be able to remove whatever is holding the carb in,turn the carb around then refit it all.

There are a few ways the carb can be held but you should have no problem in turning the carb around,not every RC car is built the same so there has to a provision to be able to do this sort of thing.

Make sure you get the right carb for your car though. There are two sorts... Slide and barrel.

If the engine you have ordered is the one I think it is it only comes with a rotary carb so it wont affect you.

It wouldn't of mattered as you can alter the TG10 carb linkage so you can use either rotary or slide carbs!!
