Hi All.

At the moment, this is not a wanted post, as I am unsure what I want [?]

I have lots of terrain similar to the stuff in the pic below:

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp...005210359_3.jpg near me.

At the moment, I have a KBF / Ta03R / Terra Scorcher / Mad Bull.

Out of the above cars, is anything worth using for crawling, or do I need a new car [:D]

I would ideally like an XC / CC, but due to the fact that no-one has one for sale, I have a problem[B)]

Are any of the above modifiable?

Let me know what you think,

Sam

What about the max climber the price has just dropped to £99 at www.timetunnelmodels.co.uk And from what Iv'e heard its a good crawler.

There's an article in a recent r/c mag about turning the Max Climber into a decent crawler using stock parts too, looks really good. I think I'm going to order one and have a go. Sammy, that place looks familiar, when are we going to go there [;)]

Jozza - do you know which mag/issue this was listed in - or whether the tips have been put online? I'm itching to get a Max-climber now that they seem to have almost halved in price - although I'm a bit worried that they're about to be discontinued before I can buy one actually!

Its around the May or so edition of Rc Car Action or RC Driver i think, one of the uS ones, i have it at home, thinking of doing the same thing myself actually.

Ends up near 1/10th scale over all

to be even more cheaper try a mini giant by venom or A-tech

this is crawling on a very small scale 1/20th to be honnest. with major and minor swaps mods you can have a good little crawler

but saying that TLT-1 all the way maybe a clod if money allows

Hey Sam. June 2005 edition of Radio Control Car Action. Page 196 the Article is "Build The ultimate TLT01 Rock Crawler" by George Gonzalez. It's a pretty in depth article with good pictures.

Just to double post [;)]

I really like the TLT for it's hopupability, and durablilty, and also the 540 motors :)

The Mini giant for it's price... anyone who has one - does it a) use normal radio, B) is it as good as a tlt?

Cheers,

it uses 380 size motor and a standard servo, and a combined esc/receiver. Its different suppose to TLT as its smaller, it is quick though as standard and if buy the venom version you get a few hopups.
