I have never used the rear steering on the hilux doesnt seem very scale like so I have up to now just used short links to lockout the rear axle. I guess it was close to straight also found that it would flex slightly and has on one occasion come undone (it did take quite a hit to do that though).

Through the post today I recieved the Junfac adaptor kit, included in each pack is a pair of adaptors, so enough to do one axle. Junfac advertise them as heavy duty and I can confirm that they are a beefy design and weigh quite a bit, being CNC machined from solid billet duralmin. As expected from Junfac they are a quality finish and as I was to find out an excellent fit.

Fitting takes only a few minutes, just unbolt the wheels and then take off the original plastic knuckles with the the upper and lower bolts. I then removed the bearings and the axle from the stock knuckle and fitted them into the Junfac straight axle adaptor. The adaptor has two slots machined out of it which match up with a small piece of webbing on the Highlift axle, so that when in place with the upper and lower bolts tightened up (dont forget to use a little bit of threadlock) there is no movement.

This kit is $27 plus postage from Junfac
