Batteries In The Uk

Hi, I live in gloucestershire and am looking for somewhere to purchase NiMH batteries or Lithium Polymer batteries from preferably online, however, a decent shop will do I am also looking to buy a good peak charger, I am finding many of the shops charge 25% over internet prices and a lot of teh internet resellers in the UK have strange websites where you have to email them to place an order.

any suggestions welcome

Hi mate i live in gloucestershire & the only half decent shop i can find is in gloucester called antics you may find what you want there thats if you haven't aready tried. We used to have some realy good model shops but over the years they have just disapeared.

If your just into bashing like me, then I can recommend the Ansmann Xbase charger which I bought from Wheelspin models. It's perfect for NiCd and NiMh and says it can do LiPo. They delivered quick and price was as good as anywhere. http://www.wheelspinmodels.co.uk/item/1000...-Charger__23f7/

For NiMh batteries I would use Component Shop. I haven't bought a 7.2v pack off them yet but will be doing soon. I've used them for other stuff and had no issues. http://component-shop.co.uk/html/large_packs.html

Personally I use vapextech nimh's (from ebay) trakpower li-po (modelsport) maxamps li-po (from the states). My charger is a bantam something or other - get a decent charger you WONT regret it.

Second modelsport, i use them alot, great service and fast delivery. Although for bashing you cant go far wrong with vapextech batteries, ive used them for years in everything from e-maxx's to touring cars and they've never let me down, plenty of bang fro your buck.
