Dear friends, can you advise me on the problems with racing with a 75.750 MHZ receiver and transmitter set in the uK. I'm not very technical...why would this be bad? Thanks in advance. Any help gratefully received. Jules

Well in the uK 75Mhz is not used for RC,as far as I know.

Whilst you can use it you would technically be illegally transmitting a signal and could be prosecuted by the DTI.

Thanks. Would changing crystals help?

No it wouldn't make a difference, even though the frequency would be different it would still be classed as being in the 75mhz band.

Yes, your transmitter is actually configured to whichever freqency it comes set up to...75, 27, 29Mhz, etc. Same with reciever. So just changing the crystals wont' do anything, unless theyre' close in the range of your transmitter/reciever.

We use 29Mhz here in Australia - 75Mhz is definitely out of the question - unless you want the ambulance and cops turning up on your doorstep after 10 minutes.....[B)]

You could possibly have the RC retuned to a different band, but that you would have to find someone who knows what he is doing.

Cheers
