Purchased one on Ebay yesterday morning from model direct. Not having read any forums or talked with anyone about the re re I spent most of the day looking fwd it arriving on Mon-Tue. Viewing this thread for the first time and noting the release date, I decided to read the auction again. Looks like I'll be receiving mine closer to August...

Just to let you know that CRP shut down at least 15 years ago.

The TeamCRP on ebay is the person who bought up their old inventory from RC Chop Shop.

That one is not a Thorp repro but a design base on Egress diff.

I hope it's not limited. I have another, better, coupon code of ebay. But, I would rather wait until I have more funds available and the price comes down a little.

It would make sense for Tamiya to not make them a limited addition kit. Even though the tech manufacture & plastics have gotten better & cheaper since the old days of the original, Tamiya still had to put effort into resurrecting the champ. And taking into account of the fan base, kit cost & bad economy, it would make sense for T. to maximize their profits. Or else what the point?

I don't expect this to be limited but keep in mind that a lot of kits are "gone" by preordering.

I asserted that several shops closed their preorders allready due to having filled their allowance.
