It is a largescale offroad track and on the BRCA-LSOR callender,i havn`t heard about them running 1/10 electric but i can find out for ya[question has been sent].

We have a largescale off road National there, this weekend, the 24th May

I do know they have some nitro 1/8 but primarily it`s largescale petrol.

Yes their website is not easy to navigate but I do believe they now run 1/10th scale buggies and truggies, and anything else up to 1/5th large scale petrol models.

Vehicles you will see at the Nene

The vehicles raced at the Nene fall into three categories:- those powered by electrical energy, nitro fuel or petrol. Dependent upon the scale raced depends which type of vehicle your likely to race. The Nene's track will handle 1/10th and 1/8th scaled vehicles which are either electrical (1/10th off roaders) or nitro (1/10th or 1/8th trucks and buggies) along with the 1/6th large scale petrol powered buggies.

Might be interested in this as it's local and I've always fancied running some of my models on a proper track.

Hi sludgeguts, it's a brand new track, mostly astroturf, I think they are all large scale models there so you may find we get run over in our little tamiyas, I joined their forum and had a few friendly replies so it may be worth heading over for a day just to see what its like?.

I have a thread in their electric buggy and truggy forum and was thinking of taking my blitzer beetle along,

It would be good to have a chat as we didn't really get the chance at snetterton, I don't have the wolfdog anymore so I can spend more time with the cars now instead of getting dragged around. :D

Sounds as though it'll be an ideal place to run something like a Slash or perhaps one of my vintage 1/8 nitro buggies.

I think it's a free for all on August 5th?, so you may find we all get run over by large scale buggies in our little tamiyas?, as far as I know they are pretty busy with the large scale stuff. The events calender is on the site.

If there was enough interest?, we might be able to book the whole track?, I have no idea about that, I haven't mentioned it anywhere else.

@Tamiyamonkey, you could wait till some more local members have been and reported back if it's too far to go. I will let you know if it's any good or if my cars get squashed by a petrol monster.

... I don't have the wolfdog anymore ...

I remember your other 1/2 being a bit put out because I thought the wolfdog was a cross, but apart from a bit of whining when I wouldn't share my burger, it was very well behaved ... so what happend?

Not with her anymore and she kept the dog. I couldn't keep her as I used to work full time so it wouldn't be fair to leave the dog trapped in the flat all day. Still miss her though, the dog that is. I don't know how you could resist those big blue eyes, it must have been a tasty burger. :) I don't remember her being offended so it couldn't have been bad.

I have revived the snetterton thread, was hoping to get another meet up there, had great fun last time. I didn't go in 2010 because of the poor weather.

How's your back now JonnyRetro?, Hope that disc is better.
