The only thing to note is that the rear wheel arch should extend c. 1cm up to where my finger is indicating. The previous owner was imprecise in his trimming.

What a fantastic body! And the old lexan is so much better quality that today modern shells. Why can't they still make some like this?

is there a wing lexan?

had casually asked around in hope of repro'ing Lola... but it'll be hard to get this model nicely done.

There are so many sharp edges you'll need a buck carved out of aluminium (=$$$)

and a vacformer capable of very high pressure.

so unless Tamiya brings them out again, NIB NOS is our only source :(

Hi Willy!

Yes, the wing is there also. I wrapped it in bubble wrap to protect it and forgot to take it along for the photo taking.

It's a Fab body imo. Easily one of my favourite of all the Tamiya's. The thought of repro'ing gives manfacturers heart attacks!- like you I thought about it too. This shell is harder than the 959 to get done they told me.

The wheel arches are pre cut, so I am surprised it is incorrect.

Me too. Thankfully there previous owner didn't do anything else - if he couldn't cut I would hate to image them trying to paint! :(

Well he was a bit overzealous with the black there, but I DO love hand/brush painted shells! Really, I do like these so much more - it just feels so much more 'hobby' fun and looks like an old toy that then shocks you with its speed when you see it go!

Man, I do like this body! Can you image seeing a whole grid of them with perhaps one lonely datsun lined up ready to start and WIZZZ! 'ing away!! ;)

little colourful antennas bending with the speed and cars flicking into and sliding slightly out of corners!  B)

Nurse, nurse, NURSE, he is out of bed again!

Quick, get the syringe. 500mg ought to do it.

There we go, back to the lad of dreams....
