Lowering A High-lift..

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have a F350 High-Lift that I am thinking of lowering. I think the Hilux High-Lift looks better lowered (like Wyoming's) so thought I would do the same however, what is the best method of lowering? Is it just a question of moving the plastic 'blocks' that sit on top of the axles/underthe leaf springs?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

I was wondering if anyone made a curved set of chassis rails that look more like the real Hilux chassis rails. That'd drop the clearance a touch.

I don't know about the leafspring works, but try doing something to the tray which holds the cab section. I think if you cut some pieces of the sections were the screws go through, it will lower the cab and then just look at load bed mounts and do the same there. If I looked at it correctly it would look better just by dropping the cab and bed lower onto the chassis and not really worry or fiddle with the suspension.

Many thanks guys. The RC4WD chassis looks great abeit it pricey for me at the moment. I shall take the alternative route suggested.

Thanks again!!!
