Hi guys,

Most of us will have noticed that eBay messaging system changed a bit in the last year. I have noticed that characters I absolutely did not write appear in my correspondents replies to me and it isn't them being cheeky, as it happens quite often. Just recently, somebody said I offered them something for £20, when actually I said it was new & boxed and it replaced the & with 20, they assumed £20.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Keep well!

Paul.

Could it be the font/language settings at their end? or the way they read their email?(Outlook or online)

I know on TC (for me) ' appears as ^ so "Paul's" shows up as "Paul^s"

On Excel, for instance, a space in a hyperlink is generated by 20 something or other

here's the Excel thing;

Customer%20Purchase%20Orders\PA00017.jpg

When viewed in the browser bar on explorer, it actually reads 'Customer Purchase Orders\PA00017.jpg'

I know if I read my BT mail via mail2web, there's loads of irrelevant characters until I view 'html'
