I was just about to buy that system for a QD Monster Beetle, I think it will fit in there, let me know what happens and I shall do the same here

i really hope it does fit. i won one on ebay for $30 US shipped. i may have jumped the gun by not getting this question answered first, but the price was too good to say no.

I think the QD Beetle uses a 280 motor and the Tamtech Hornet uses a 370 motor. So I'm not sure

you should be absolutely fine - the 20 diametermm brushless motors are a sensible replacement for anything from 280 to 380 motors, and should fit fine in your tamtech. They normally have a selection of holes on the front to suit various fitting methods. while i have no experience of the 18a version, i would go for 25A in somthing heavier like the QD beetle.

Cool  , thanks for your reply, so if I was to buy the 9T combo for my pumpkin and also a single motor in 1/18th scale, then I could use the ESC from the 9T combo kit to power the smaller motor?(which is actually the same size motor but the 9T motor has added cooling fins to make it 540 size?)
