Reminds me of my brother and me when we were that young. I got into RC first and started off with a Cheetah then got myself a Grasshoper. Wow I thought i was cool, then my bro came home with a Hornet and that '540 can' and he blitzed me everyday.

The good ol' days were the best ;)

This is a great thread, thanks to everyone who has posted so far ;)

Somewhere at home, I have a video of me at Christmas in 1984, playing with my first RC. As others are saying, these images remind you of simpler times. For me, this is the sort of simple fun and memories that has inspired the collecting of vintage RC in the first place. Just charge up a Ni-cd and go and play. Not like today where there are 20 different battery types, connector types, charger types, radios, etc

Here's my first car, in its later stages of existence, circa 1989:

After being run over by a 1:1, the Falcon front wheels were my idea of an adequate replacement, lol!

If you look closely, you can see a ramp in the background ;)

Just had to bump this one, I love these vintage pictures. Anyone got any more to share?

Nothing after 1990 please!! ;)

Wish I had some but I never had any hobby grade RC's as a kid, we were poor.

Cheers,

Alistair G.
