I bid, win (a kyosho motor for an absolute song) and pay via paypal.

Seller then refunds me 5 mins later and relists, ignoring my "whats going on" questions.

Seller has zero feedback.

Can this be done, doesn't seem right to me and do you think i would be right to give neg feedback?

Basically, it sounds like he didn't get what he wanted for the motor!

I'd give him negative feedback and report him to ebay for messing you around (not saying that ebay would actually pay any attention, but you never know!)

He did it and you course of action is let ebay know and likely they will take action, maybe slow but they will. This seller will effect buyer looking into ebay.

Ebay will likely ask you to work with this seller first and with instruction for what next if seller is unco-operative.

Some people feel ebay is a fair system which to them means this:

As a buyer:

They get everything cheap

As a seller:

They get max $$$ for all their golden items

Ebay is not for these people and the sooner they realise the better. Report them and get them off the system.

More seasoned ebayers of which I count myself even though I have a meager 192 points in my 4-5 years (would be more but since the new feedback rules people don't bother leaving feedback) realise that if they put up an item for 0.99p it may well and sometimes does sell for that. On the flip side a 0.99p item more often than not gets a higher final selling price than one starting at £50 - go figure.

its not right i would leave some neggy fead back & report him to ebay

the way i look at ebay is some days you win some days you loose when selling stuff ive sold stuff that i thought was worth more than what it went for but you just see it through to the end you don't just refund money then put it back on. But then on the other hand i sold a compressor a while back which i would have been happy getting £40 for but it went for £100 every one is after a bargin so sellers should just see the aution through to the end.

as i say some days you win some days you loose ???????

A quick update,

Seller emailed me to say there should have been a starting price so he wasn't selling it'

Didn't stop him running the listing for the complete 7 days tho.

Anyway, I did leave neg feedback and he now has an ebay score of..... -2 !

He did exacly the same to another would be buyer

Thanks for advice
