Hi this is my first post so I thought I would make it different, I have always had a certain interest in all things Russian and whilst browsing a blog I accidentally stumbled upon this

RC Russian style

It seems main brands of RC car are hard to come by in some parts of Russia so people are left with no other choice but to build their own.

Hope this is of interest to someone

I've only got three things to say:

1. Holy Used Food, Batman!

2. Mr. Tamiya, if you're reading this: you need to find this guy and hire him - Quick.

3. Dee Miller, you've got some competition in the OMG skilled craftsman category. :D

Awesome detailing - they guy even makes scale pallets to put under the wheels!

That English Russia website has loads of interesting stuff on it - I wasted a whole afternoon surfing it once at work...

That unbelievable... and amazing... and incredible... and I'm speachless...

BUT, how can anything be worth so much effort? A Tamiya Hilux only costs a few hundred $ and it probably is better off road, yes?

It is worth so much effort because you can`t just go and buy it.Try and find another one. It`s THE only one in the world and well worth the effort IMHO.

Who cares how it performs,he will certainly win the scale look prize,a hilux might perform better but they are mass produced so not as much apeal to someone who wants something really special and individual.

Nice to see him use some Tamiya parts too :)

This guy is good. He might as well work on the 1:1 scale and we can watch him each week on the Discovery channel under from "1:10 to 1:1" Or work for Austin Martin or Ferrari where the bodies are still hand made.

Yep, he is Italian, he is a friend of one of the admins over on scale4x4rc.com

Most of the running gear (axles, transfer case, etc) is from RC4WD.com

Here is his build thread on www.scalersandcrawlers.it

I would like to just have his patience and discipline, let alone the skill B)

B)<_<:):)

Must be the Alpen drill bits he's using that makes him so good.

This really makes everything I thought to be great pale in comparison. That must be the greatest build I have ever seen not to mention absolute attention to detail.

Thanks for the post.
