I'm in the middle of a brainstorm for a new project (because I don't have enough half-finished ones already...) and I'm trying to work out which parts I'll need. Can anyone out there make a quick measurement for me on the width of a Hi-Lift axle (tip to tip) and a TLT axle, so I can see which one will be more suitable? And, does anyone by chance know what the gear ratios of these two axles are?

In case you're curious, the project idea is a "prerunner"-style 2WD desert truck with a solid rear axle and a buggy-ish front suspension. I want to build something light, quick, and tough; not a showpiece, but a good fun park/beach runner with a semi-realistic chassis configuration. Smaller than a Slash, probably running 1.9 wheels, gobs of suspension travel and a no-frills layout.
