Sorry, I know this is not Tamiya. But it might not be seen in the Kyosho section, I just need the answers ASAP.

Please help me ID this Optima. The chassis looks weird to me, is it an original Kyosho? Would also appreciate any observation on any part. The aluminum wheels in the front are also narrower compared to the rear, like the Mid Special. It is being offered for US$170. Thanks in advance for any help!

Its a SWB Optima Mid.

There is definately a different lower chassis on there - "maybe" an aftermarket - but most likely home made. Most aftermarket companies made the lower chassis in that style with slots for saddle packs (like the Trinity "Butterfly" chassis). It seems to have a few odd bits here and there.

As it doesnt have turnbuckles my "ëducated" guess would be that it would be an original Mid kit. Not the Turbo.

Cheers

Darryn

"edit" - **** - It has a Hotline speedy in it!!! This car reminds me of the one I used to run BITD. Nice car - shame you are moving it on - great vintage runner.

Yes, I was thinking of getting it. But I passed. Sucks he didn't want to part the rims!

Bought these instead from another guy:

The ZX-R is a "Championship (Canadian?) Edition". Both with mint boxes and manuals, servos, one Novak Buster ESC and the Alpina radio set, also with OG boxes and manuals. Not bad for $160.. :)
