Hi all,

I just got a new servo and saver for my TA05 (not the IFS) and i have found my ackerman/throw doesn't go all the way. Even though its only by a few degrees it makes a massive difference around the tight 90 degree corners at my local club. I have tested the difference by pushing my trim over when i turn to see how much of a difference it makes, and with out the extra bit the trim gives it does cause me to go a lot slower in the turns the front is pushing wide and can't get the back end around as easily. I am using a basic hand set my friend have others that allow them to have more % steer to give them a fuller throw but surly you should be able to set this up with the chassis.

The push rods and ball joint aren't touching anything as i do get full throw if i trim it all the way over either way.

Hope someone can help

thanks

Ackerman is something different. It's the difference in angle the inside wheel turns compared to the outside. There is no easy way to adjust this on the TA05.

It sounds to me like your simply trying to get more steering "angle". For this there are a couple things to check:

- Make sure your "dual-rate" on controller, if so equiped, is set to max.

- Make sure your "EPA" adjustments on your controller, if so equiped, are set to max for both left & right.

- Move your steering-tie-rod ball joints to the hole farthest foward on the steering knuckles.

Check those things and get back to me...

I have only a basic controller so no options there and i have already moved the tie rods to the holes forward and closer to the wheel on the knuckles.

I double posted and got further advice here

I'm back so I'll have a look at it tonight for you Vince. There's probably something missed in the setup, or you need a bigger servo saver. I always tend to use the bigger ones and reduce the servo throw.
