Xmods Anyone

hi there just got my two kids xmods gen1 cars of someone i know and woundered what mods etc to carry ouy, ive seen the tight turn mod, fet mod, the turbo mod and the 6 and 7 cell mods, are these worth doing, also i get quite poor running from them, even duracell batts dont give them much kick, whats the most voltage you can run with these, woundered about using 9v batteries etc, also woundering if ive got them geared right, one car is 4wd with stage 1 motor and 8t pinion using white gears at the rear and red gears at front, the other car that seem faster is 2wd with stage 2 motor with 10t ponion using a yellow gear and red diff, any help would be great.

I used to have a mini-z.

You need some decent rechargable batteries. Duracells aren't for high drain applications. A good set of NiMH cells will last longer and give better performance.
