Tower Hobbies keeps pushing back the release date of the Horet!

Now they say it´ll arrive in mid august!

First it was june, then late july and now august (if they keep their word).

What´s going on?

Tower has a habit of doing that with everything. It just means that they have no idea when they'll be getting some in.

As a footnote, you can sign up for an e-mail that will let you know when that item is back in stock. This feature works well except for the fact that by the time I get the e-mail, I have usually spent all my play money.

I placed my order for a Hornet on February 22 and it was shipped on April 14. I assume Tower is still filling backorders as they have yet to be listed as in stock. I do wonder if they recieve shipments as posted. Was the rerelease really that popular? Did Tower underestimate its appeal? Can't Tamiya uSA keep up with the demand?

I see they have now done the same thing with the Lunchbox and Grasshopper delivery dates. I wonder if anyone has been notified that theirs is on the way. Mine are still listed as backordered.

also they will only email you if they have any stock I know I signed up for an email, but never got an email for a certain item, but some forum members elsewhere got their products the same thing. I dont think tamiya can keep up with the demand in all honesty I bet there are a lot of collectors out their buying in bulk then you got new comers to the markets such as, "I" buying them also because they look cool compared to current RC vehicles these days and plus knowing tamiya stuff in general increase in value so you know you have a win, win situation you buy for the hobby, you buy for increase in value, and you buy for fun.

I received my two Grasshoppers from Tower on Friday. The uSA version comes with the esp and is also shrink wrapped. I back ordered them on 6/19 so it did not take too long. Still waiting on the LB and Hornet though.

By the way, why wont the u stay capital in uSA??
