Getting Paint Off A Lexan Body

Got a re-release Hornet body that I painted, and it did not turn out as I had wanted it to, can I use the same method of the Easy-Off Oven Cleaner to get the paint of this? I have used it on my hard bodies, and it worked good, just not sure if this will damage the lexan? Thanks in advance. []

Search the archives, you'll find plenty of info about stripping lexan in there. Nitro fuel seems to be the favoured option.

Pretty sure oven cleaner will destroy lexan.

what Hunter said is true. Easy off will destroy it. Nitro fuel works well. I apply it with a paint brush to gently scrub off the paint. Make sure to wash the body really well as nitro fuel has a lot of oil in it.

Thanks guys, got some 20% nitro fuel here for my T-Maxx, that should do the trick, right?

Yeah and wear gloves, because it will totally dry out your skin and mess you up if you get it on your skin!

not to mention it can cause blindness and insanity in the worst cases..and it is easily absorbed thru the skin into the bloodstream.
