Recommended Posts

Hello members,

I'd like to get some TC member feedback on this particular kit. I have an opportunity to purchase one of these NIB

from an upcoming estate sale. It is a limited production kit from what I have researched.

What are these worth?

I've seen a few with starting bids of $600+ usd and from my recent discussion with the executor of the estate, I may be able to get one of these for well below this

starting cost.

TC member feedback is always appreciated. :D

the 1/10th Anniversery porker? its just a modified TA05 with a distinctive bodyshell, nothing more nothing less

given that it was marketed as a collectors' item imho there's probably more NIB kits than built examples

Its a nice car, its a TRF designed chassis (Was adapted from the trf stock belt drive machine chassis which was given the ta05ms name when released) However this model has a shorter chassis / belts. Its not a Ta05.

personally I am a massive fan of the ta05ms, its a very good racing chassis, and it also is one of the most asthetically pleasing chassis as well. I'd buy it.

Cheers

It really depends on what you're into. From a collector's point of view, it might be a good "investment."

From a runner's view, definitly not worth your money!

I am a collector, but I do not have one of those kits nor do I have the desire to purchase one.

ain't a good investment by ANY measure if you can still buy the kit today for pretty much its price when new

and spare bodyset can be had for under US$200; most of the "special" parts are on the TA05ms or as spare/option parts too

I don't agree. I think this particular kit will hold if not increase it's value, say, 5-10 years from now. My cyrstal ball is in the shop right now though.

I would agree looking at the present listed prices ebay sellers want for this kit.

As for the price I am paying at the end of this week for one of these, it's a no brainer. 8D

I'll keep it on the shelf and let it collect some dust.
