Hello all,

After reading the website and forum for a while now I thought it was time to register and introduce myself.

I am from the Netherlands, 35 years old and recently rediscovered rc cars. As a kid I never had the money for a Tamiya so now it's paybacktime ;)

I started with a TT-01 and sold it 3 months later to buy a TA-04. With the TA-04 (and an Xray T1 Raycer) I did some fun racing at the AMCA race track but found out that track racing wasn't realy my thing. The last cars were about semi-offroading, rally if you like. I had a TB-02 and a M-03 which I modified to be more sand-proof (which didn't really work).

Now I own a Beetle M04-L. And because building is as much fun for me as driving, I went a little 'Mad Max' with it:

My next car will hopefully be a Sand Scorcher re-release!

If it's not here in 6 months I will settle for a Rough Rider

Firstly welcome to Tamiyaclub (i'm relatively new myself) ! :)

You may not have had the money to buy R/C as a kid but you definitely have some model building experience!

That bug is fantastic, who needs a sand scorcher when you can build one yourself! I love it! :) Awesome vid by the way!

Thank you all!

You are right SteelRat, I originally placed this pictures in a build-topic on a Dutch website. The pictures give a good impression how new I am at scratchbuilding. I have redone the bumpers and roof rack more than once :)

Wasn't he the side kick for MadMax until the director decided to wrote him off the scripted? You do SICK work, but substantially all TC members are SICK, so your work is highly appreciated. :)

Oh man... top work dude... you can become a legend with talent like that... love the home-built block, really finishes off what can be a BIG space at the back!!

Kill Bill reference is brilliant... is the pilot Elle Driver? an eye patch would be just wicked!!!

whoo-hoo, hoo hoo hoo... whoo-hoo, hoo hoo hoo...

Isn't there a female Wild Willy figure? Would be even better.

All dressed up in Elle Driver's nurse outfit :)
