Yes let’s lock in a beach run between the 27-29th of December. Happy Valley at Caloundra has joined with the north end of Bribie and there is 100s of metres of sand ready for rooster tails.

Everyone is welcome to hang at my place before or after and have a swim or beer by the pool.

I’ll also try and make Thorneside on the 17th. I’ve got to buy some batteries as most of mine are either dead or puffed.

a location would help, its behind the Thornside community hall. Turn into Ivy Street (I didn't realise it was street either, looks more like a lane way) and down the end to the right is a bike track.

Not looking great for tomorrow guys.

We've had a fair amount of rain so far today with more coming.

The missus was over Birkdale earlier and said it was chucking down.

Yeah, we got a bit of a drenching on the Southside too, but it's been easing the last couple of hours.

I am hoping the forecast of little rain tomorrow is true, but the ground is probably still going to be fairly wet and muddy anyway. Damp ground wouldn't bother me, but not keen on puddles.

Yeah, it's only really just stopped here and we are only about 20 mins away from Thorneside. 

I'd expect there will be puddles and very damp ground everywhere.

I've charged most of my batteries anyway and will charge the last two in the morning if it's a goer.

I've just had a look at Mooroodu.  It's not all that bad close to the car park, but lots of water closer to the BMX track.
