Hi all, just a quick "plug" on behalf of Gee Dee Models in Nottingham. I went to "another model shop" in the area, and though they had a few kits, there was nothing i was really after.

My wife then told me about Gee Dee, her dad has used them for r/c plane bits, so off we went.....

Its two floors, the ground floor covers Hornby,Scalectrix, and various static brands.

You then proceed downstairs to where all the Tamiya goodies are kept, very impressed, around 30 Tamiya kits on the shelf plus display models!

Loads of spares, including a great choice of H.P.I offroad tyres/wheels and plastic bins with older bits and pieces in.

Very helpful staff, i asked to see a Keen Hawk (which, 5 mins later i bought!) i wasnt sure if this kit came with an ESC or not, and was allowed to open the kit and poke around, no problem!

Definately going there again, got my eye on a ********,.............that be telling!

Cheers

tam trucks, have'nt seen you in a while, geedee models sounds good, i normally go to modelsport for my stuff, abit of a run but i like to see what im buying, might have to nip over to see them at the weekend.

sorry guys but i've got to disagree, i find geedee's unhelpfull, expensive and they try to sell you stuff you dont need.

example, when i went in to buy a 1/8 nitro i asked for a box wrench to use on the wheels and glow plug, they tried to sell me a standard tamiya box wrench, saying that would do the wheels of most cars they stock, neadless to say i didn't buy the wrench or the car.

hi ive got to say i would recommend geedee models as i find them very helpful and more then happy helping you out if you have a problem also they dont mind chatting to you as well, if your into nitro cars/trucks then im sorry this shop is not for you as they dont stock nitro (plains only)and is more of a electric only shop .

i would highly recommend them .
