I think those screws are wrong either way - and it's missing the switch mount bracket, lol

Rich T UK its your go! it is actually a photo of my old Celica (dont know about the missing switch bracket or wrong screw, thats how I got it) but you couldnt have told difference between 959 and Celica

Tires are a familiar Kyosho pattern for rally tires, the non-tamiya design on the suspension gave away it was not Tamiya, and the rod ends of the tie rods look like Kyosho - at least that's what i can see on the pictures

Yeah - Those tires were a dead giveaway - along with that upper arm design that makes its appearance on several Kyosho buggies.

Wasn't clear on the the differences between the first and second marks though.

After a lengthy bit of 'research' I came up with a best guess, but the external gears are on the wrong side

Well it's a Kyosho by the looks of the plastics and gears. Thats as close as I have gotten without investigating.
