Hi, got these with a parts lot. Don't know what the heck they are off, so didn't know which category to post in. Any ideas what buggy they are off? Anything look familiar?

Best Regards,

Fla plates middle top row are AYK Buffalo/Bobcat/Boxer front wishbones.

Many Thanks Terry, it's appreciated. I got them with a load of Scorpion spares. The frame rails that I got were very like the Scorpion ones but were horridly scratched underneath all over, and the holes were not anywhere near as accurately placed and drilled as I had expected (not that I have ever seen a Scorpion frame rail in the flesh before LOL), and some of the holes were way off centre and in the "wrong" places and the frames were different lengths and badly cut at the ends and bent vertically like a banana and had an extra hole in the front section of the frame rail just after the kink bend. Also they had horrendous damage marks in odd places.

I spent a good 1/2 hour straightening one of them to perfection and then cleaning it up before it finally dawned on me that they were DIY and fake. This was very disheartening but not to worry since a) I learned a new skill, that of straightening frame rails, :D I learned how to clean up the most horridly scratched Aluminium LOL and c) the whole parts lot was only 6 quid and I got an almost new Scorpion gearbox out of it and new front arms and a few other bits for Scorpion.

I also saw that the chassis top plate (which had 2 servo sized holes) was also a DIY part (weird, it had the almost exact same horrid scratches all over it as though it had been cut from the same sheet!) as the original Scorpion never had one, and the chassis underplate was also scratched in the same way but it was very close to being the same as a real Scorpion chassis underplate (a much better job) but had some ovalled / wrong sized holes so looked worn or DIY in nature so I threw these parts away (fortunately there was also a genuine chassis underplate with the same profile but correct sized holes and no horrid scratching and looked the same surface finish as the rear shock tower which looked genuine too).

These wishbones that you advise me about are dead flat and are in reasonable condition, and yes look very like Buffalo / Bobcat ones according to what I can see in the online manual at ;-

...but the ones in the manual illustration look to be NOT flat in profile (see page 6, exploded view, right front lower arm) which is putting me off a bit! Not more home made parts?! LOL. These are not scratched horridly and look nicely made (dead straight lines to the profile, perfect curved sections to the cut outs) so I am assuming for the moment that they are genuine LOL.

Cheers,

Alistair G.

Having built a few of them I know they are Buffalo/Bobcat arms. The picture shows them as flat. The angle of the drawing, showing the angle of the edges of the arms, might give the impression of them being bent. Just check any of the cars in the showrooms.

Whoops sorry also forgot to ask what is Fla? Front lower arms?
That should be Flat arms.
