hello everybody,

i'm new to rc cars and i have a tt-01 with an LRP A.I. Automatic Reverse esc and a hackmoto 15t motor. It goes really fast but after 10 minutes of use esc cuts power off and in a couple of minutes it works again for a little. Then again the same. I use a 6800amp battery and with that motor i think it doesnt last long as with the previous RS540 tuned motor i had.

Can anybody help me?

Thank you guys.

Sounds like a gearing issue... Have you changed the gearing to use the faster motor?

Lower turned motors run faster, but have less torque. Sounds like it's over-geared and is asking too much of the ESC, resulting in thermal shutdown...

You basically need to fit a smaller pinion to reduce the strain - don't know enough about the TT-01 to know if you can change the spur gear, or what for.

Hope that helps

The ESC is overheating and shutting down when it gets too hot.

It depends on exactly which AI Automatic Reverse you have, as you haven't said it's a Runner Plus, Pro or Super Automatic I presume it's the basic Runner.

The Runner version can only run motors of 18 turns or over, in which case the motor you have is lower turns than the ESC is designed for, so it will always shut down when it overheats. The only fix is to buy a motor of 19 turns or more, or buy a more suitable ESC.
