Thundershot Wheels & Tyre Sizes

Hi, im sure this has most prob been asked before but i searched and cant find it .. what size are the wheels and tyres that come with the thundershot and what else would fit.

Nothing else really fits unless you change the triangle hubs out. On mine, I went with clamp on alloy hex drives, which allows me to run any modern wheel. As for the size, they are either 1.9 or 2.0, I forget which we figured out last time I asked. I know it's the same size tire as used on other period vintage Tamiyas like the Avantes and such.

So if i fitted hex hubs i could use any type of wheel that uses hex hubs as there drive basically?

I take it i can fit the tamiya plastic hex hubs?

I would not recommend the plastic hubs. As soon as you tighten the wheel nut too much, the whole wheel is locked.

Have a look at Tamiya - 53569 (deluxe version) or Tamiya - 53056.
