I dont think those will fit your hound, they are the narrow front tyres for 2 wheel drive buggies. If you like that tyres though look at the Dirt hog 1 they are designed to fit, I just ordered a set today.

I have a set of these tyres (also purchased from tower)for my Rising Storm. They fit fine - you do need to glue them though, unlike the stock tyres that come with the Storm / Hound.

For some reason the foam inserts (which are supplied with the tyres) which i received were designed for the Dirt Hawg I, ie were too wide. Hardly difficult to cut them to size though - If I can do it I'm sure you can!

Phiber is right about the Dirt Hawg I's - perfect as rear tyres, but do need glueing.

I ordered a set of the narrows for the front coz i dint want the extra weight messing with my punch. but for the rear i ordered the wider ones. I ll reply when i receive them and try them on.

out of topic but cool thow

HPIM0993.jpg

Finally got them

they fit exactly but i think the gront were ment for 2wd coz the diameter is a little smaller than the rear. the diference is 2mm.

I know is a very small diference but if it was bigger then that would be a problem coz the buggy doesnt have a central diff. and the speed of the front and rear tires must be the same.

ps i think the front would fit better in a 1 inch rim than in a 1.1/4 that is mine. but as you can see its fine

as for performance : i run a speed gems 17T motor with the

traxxas xl-1 esc and the grip is perfect in asphalt/pavement(it sticks like glue).its a preety powerfull motor and with 16/70 gearing it doesnt slips anywhere.

I dont think my esc will survive any longer . i think its going to melt or burn or both. its on its limits with a 6cell and i use a 7cell

I didnt try this on gravel or dirt or grass yet.

With these tire/wheel combos, how do they go on a harder surface such as ashphalt? With better clearance do you do many jumps? Has anyone tried slicks, and if so what brand and specs? Do they rub?

I dont see much nice gravel. But some of these seem cool for a bit of bashing around the traps here and there.
