Tomy Takara Drift Cars Any Good?

hi all, r they any good, just wanting something my kids can run on the laminate floor at home.

i resisted buying them, then got given 1 ... they don't run too bad once you've got the handling tuned to your liking (they run coned tyres)

they're not too quick but heck, they only run off AAAs... mine's still got the 1st set since building

controller is on/off not fully propo - if you want propo you should get an iWaver AWD or Kyosho MiniZ, D-Nano looks good too

which would you recommend, we have got a couple of xmods, the first generation ones and there not great.

xmods look aren't too bad for their price but they don't sell them here... runs better with 4WD upgrade so i'm told

main issue is the propo thing... imho it ain't real RC if it isn't propo... but we got used to driving *****arGs

so the Tomy drifta can be learnt to be controlled by manual modulation... and it does run well for what it is

i don't see anyone selling spares though - no idea what happens when the (cone) tyres wear flat;

maybe the rest of the car would be wornout by then
