Been looking for ages for a buggy, that is quick, hadles well, has a good ground clearance and does not flip every time its asked to turn hard.

I have £150 ish to spend and im not sure if electric or nitro is the way to go.

I do most of my off road driving on a local hill that has lots of quarries.

WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS PLEASE?

Stadium Trucks sound like what you're after.

Something like a Losi XXT would probably do you, and IMO it looks better than buggies ;)

Let me know if I can help any more:

Is it just yourself or are there a couple of people running with you?

If it's you on your own, I would go find a nice used mod Clod. Then you got the option of sticking a couple of fast motors in and really flying and jumping, or sticking in some torquey motors and have fun trying to climb hils and obstacles.

If, on the other hand you and some buddies are running together, I would plump for electric, (less maintenance) and get a stadium truck, or maybe a 4wd buggy, depending on what others use.

Try a wanted ad here, or E-Bay hunting time !

Im usually up there with the misses and my brother ramping my cars around but fount a TT01 has no ground clearance and the pumpkin keeps rolling.

Looks like a stadium truck may be the way forward.

I would like Nitro but so many people say they have problems with them.

hi, have you thought about a Duratrax Evader ST? (Stadium Truck)

I got mine for £150

Its ready to run out the box, all you need is charge the battery, you even get 8 AA batteries for the transmitter!

Its painted, all radio gear is fitted and is 100% assembled and:

Adjustable Oil Shocks

Ball Diff

Slipper Clutch

Fully Ballraced and has loads more features as standard.

Most commonly broken parts are covered under Duratrax's 'Stress Tech' warranty, but these trucks are very, very tough!

Hope this is of some help?

And my one's for sale ;)

How handy!

Make me an offer on it - litterally driven once, broke a driveshaft, paid through the nose to get a new one, fixed it, and now I'm too scared to use it ;)

Offers around £110 for it

Cheers,

Sam

You could get a Desert Gator, I got mine recently and it was a blast to build, I haven't driven it that much yet but the driving I have been doing has been a blast, I replaced the stock shocks on it for Kyosho alu-bodied units so I get alittle more clerance up front and I did put a 17 turn motor in it, I can flip it over if I hit forward going in reverse... It's pretty cheap to...

Any car can break, its just the plastic components, shock towers, suspension arms, etc on the Duratrax Evader are covered under the warranty so you can get replacements for the first year.

Driveshafts can always be broken if abused.

Ive driven mine flatout into a kerb after avoiding my mates car and only popped a ball joint out on the steering which which snapped back in!

DimmaDan,

Mine broke as it was actually a faulty part when bought - I bought a replacement, as I didn't want to wait for Duratrax to send the part out ETC. ETC...

As I say, it's a great truck, with all the high-tec race features - adjustable - almost -everythings ;)

Cheers, and LMK if you want it,

Sam

i think the xc is a good car to start with. i know it's not a buggy, and i know the XB pajero isn't made anymore, but if you don't mind used, moosey is selling his XB. with a few simple mods (which probably have already been done to this one) it can be an amazing off-roader[:D]
