Been meaning to put one of these up for a while. For various reasons I've not been around much recently but I've streamlined my collection of runners and I'm ready and willing to get to another bash.

I can't do the weekend of 31st Oct or Sun 15th Nov, but otherwise am pretty good. Would like to make a decision on a date this week tho as I have to book other things in for Oct :)

What locations do we prefer? I'm fond of Ham Hill, most of my running stock is off-road and I'd like to test some of my rebuilt stuff on the dirt.

:D

Will post regarding dates later today or tomorrow at the latest. Need to check with "she who must be obeyed"... :)

Got to say that I would love another Ham Hill, as I missed the last one there (the only meet I've ever missed!)

Hi Clabby. :D

Not been to Bradford Hollow... What's the parking like there (and how close to the bash areas)?

Always up for new venues, just that I can't scope them out as I'm living in South Wales :D

All the best

Hi everyone!

I've been really quiet on TC over the summer. I think another meeting is a great idea! :D

The alternative spot is just the east/south side of Yeovil rather than the west, so for those of you coming from a distance it won't make much difference in travel time. You'd park in the Argos car park?

I think some slightly different terrain would be fun. Good for the offroaders, and tarmac where we park for onroad. If it doesn't work out we just drive back to Ham Hill via McDonalds :)

Will be lovely to see everyone again, its been ages :D

Afternoon all.

We are up for another bash, just sorting out some bits, car and otherwise. Any date is good for us always willing to try new areas.

We have not given the cars a good run out lately, means I may even get to build my Buggy Champ.

Hiya all,

We decided on the date yet? This Sunday should be OK for us if that helps. Not sure on next month yet - need to get the missus t finish filling in the calendar...

Whatever people decide on is good though - we will always try to make it if we can!

Afternoon all.

In a bit of a rush, it’s that work thing

Suggestion that we meet this Sunday (the weather looks ok’ish) at the site suggested by Clabby. We will be there about 10:30ish, look out for a Black 3dr Civic, 59 plates with a lost looking bloke and wife!

After that maybe move on over to Ham Hill via somewhere to grab a bite to eat, got to enjoy the last day of summer time  !

ATB Matt

Ps. Forgot to add, anyone is welcome :o .

Sounds good to me.

Now I just have to work out what cars to get ready! lol

Take care all

Steve

PS: We'll be in an Audi A6 in Silver - me, the missus (Maria) and the monster (Evan, our 3 year old) should be there.

Knowing the normal lot who come along, there should be some spare batteries if that helps. :)

Most of us also bring car chargers along as well, so that should help.

We are always late as we come from South Wales and have to get a 3 year old ready first...

We will have spare packs and chargers, we never seem to use all of them!!

Ref the GF, why not get her a RC? My better half loves the ones she has got, takes pride in them where as I just go for SPEED, like my next project will be, a bit left field, a move tie in and if you listen to the director a little bit of of the dark prince  !!!

We will be there about 10:30-11:00, the satnav sugests about 1 3/4 run for us.

I'll be there, in my black Jazz, but I've been idle and still having fixed the monster trucks since last 'playing' so it'll be just buggy, WW & Minis for me. And my DF03 Avante has become a whole lot cooler...

I hope to maybe pop along and hope to have ready.

E-Maxx

Mad Bull if finished.

Hope to have a few nice things lined up for the next tarmac one.

Hopefully we will have:-

Traxxas hooligans

Lunch Box (may be even dafter!)

BFX

Sliders & Drifters.

Baja Champ (it just loves abuse)

Gravel Hound with monster wheels (if I can sort the gearing)

Suzy, you mean to tell me that the Clod is still in shock, poor thing  !!!

Check out the Bandit, Slash and 3 x E-Maxx in this video from our Bristol Bash in March. Bad driving and idiotic behaviour with no breakages.

Managed to break the front suspension on mine (front right, top and bottom arms - £10 fix) after running full tilt into the wheel of a Volvo! Would have destroyed many of my other cars at that sort of speed. Traxxas are amazingly tough vehicles!

Don't rule out the cheaper ones such as the Bandit (VXL version is more expensive) as they are just as tough! Matt crashed his into my steel toecap after it span out under braking at full tilt. Full tilt with a Bandit VXL is seriously quick - resulted in a damaged wheelie bar and nothing else. Luckily I was wearing hiking boots or it would have hurt a lot more!!!!!

Definitely get the missus something and make sure you fit a stock 540 or slower (35t lathe motors are a good bet) and you watch the difference when she drives "her own" car!

I got Maria a BMW Mini (she wanted it in preference to the Rover one I have) and a TLT-1. She also "owns" the Dyna Storm, but with a Novak SS5800 in it she gets scared driving it!

Hopefully see you all there, provided Evan's chest infection is sufficiently cleared. If not I might be on my own...
