Is it me or the rear overhung on the Tamiya version is not to scale? Rear wheels seem too far back on the model...

J.

It's psychological, the sheer ugliness of it makes you wish it was further away. :(

no need, global warming is already effecting the tundra :)

and you really believe that it is caused or influenced by using cars...huh? Don't belive faked/tuned statistics made by corrupt scientists from institutions which getting mony from government to support mighty lobby.

Short circuiting the carbon cycle is known to have a warming effect, as CO2 traps heat. As cars put out CO2 from fossil fuels, it's a fair guess that they have an influence on climate change.

No need to reply - and I won't bother to read it even if you do.

I have read a couple of articles here in the UFT Economics department explaining what you're saying here. There are scientists that have a different perspective about the warming thing everyone is fussing about. I believe there must be a rather crooked thing about the money that nowadays is going to fund the projects and research from certain institutions throughout the world.

Nope, just global warming. The actual or contributing causes of global warming whether by man or nature alone or in some combination...I'll let the scientists decide. :) Anyway, by the time we found out the real cause of global warming, like we proved smoking do cause cancer, it maybe too late.

I think we're forgetting here that new cars make close to no emissions anymore (especially compared to older cars). Many cars from pre-90's however do. In the Netherlands, cars over 25 years old don't pay taxes for driving, whereas older cars should be payed more taxes for because they pollute more, right? :D (That is, if they were trying tackle emission problems, anyway). Then, if you think a little bigger, you realise cars from individuals are just a niche of the whole problem with vehicles, because I haven't seen or heard about any precautions on boats and planes for example to make them more eco-friendly :P The transport business as a whole in many countries doesn't even make for a quarter of the emissions in those countries.

If you think even bigger, cars are (depending on the country) only make for less than a quarter of the total emissions. Don't forget the bio industry, it emits a lot more than you think, and the fact that for example America for producing electrical power still more than 80% is produced by fossil fuels - Or China, that because of the quickly rising electrical power demands because of economical growth needs to build power plants quickly. Most of these are power plants that use coal to produce electricity, and more than 70% of all power in China is produced by coal. So Electrical power as a principal is very eco-friendly... The way it's produced however shows that we'd only move the problem to another stage in production if we now would all start running electric powered cars, or start using hydrogen powered cars (electrolysis also needs electricity) :)

So think again about global warming... It's not your Toyota Tundra that does it :P

Anyway, I'll quit being off-topic... It's a nice Tundra (me thinks that old model looks way better than the new one :P ), Unfortunately I don't have a driver license yet!

global warming was invented to tax us more.

also "eco" and "green" are mostly just buzzwords used for advertising - hey buy this new car and reduce your carbon footprint etc etc

we've been had.

In the U.K if the car was manufactured before 1972 then you pay no tax, historic vehicle exemption. ;) , used to be 25 years but they changed the law,
