Just wondering . . . has anyone every tried converting the F201 F1 chassis into a touring car? I was staring at the F201 chassis earlier today thinking what a nice looking chassis it would make for a touring car. I know the wheelbase is a bit longer so it won't fit regular bodies without modification. Still it would be an interesting frankenstein project.

I don't have the F201 so I'll just ramble a bit but if you made a custom carbon fiber chassis to the correct wheelbase length and swaped out the shaft would it be possible? The width seems fine. Can the F201 accomodate regular wheels?

You would be better off just getting a touring car chassis. My opinion of the F201 is that it's a good design executed poorly. Your hard pressed to run any motor faster than a 19 turn without it getting so hot you can't touch it.

I guess I was thinking about it from a modelling standpoint. I recently bought a porsche carrera GT body and the real car has inboard suspension in the style the F201 has. Just thought it would be a interesting project.
