Hello everyone, well I have finally purchased a DS. I plan on buying a few key parts from NERO and I am wondering if there is anything I need to make the gearbox and diff survive the abuse that a brushless can dish out? I am new to the Brushless seen, what turn/volt is about the limit at which you want to power a 1/10 car. Thanks.

If there's a motor that comes with the Dyna Storm (I beleve there were original releases with and without a motor), it's the Pink Acto motor, which is 14 turns. The Re-release version also has a pink motor in it, but this one is not rebuildable and doesn't use bearings but bushings, so it's pretty rubbish, but 14 turns as well. So your Dyna Storm should easily handle a 9T brushless system for example ;) I have arun a 12T brushless system in it, which of course it handled with ease, and next is a 10.5T brushless system (of which the motor actually has less rpm. These specs really differ per brand, and it's better to look at the kV rating when comparing motors).

PS: (Might it be handy to put your questions about the Dyna in one topic next time? :) It may make it easier for everyone to look up all the information when it's bundled in a topic).
