What is the deal with Tower Hobbies??

Hey Everyone,

What is up with Tower Hobbies not being able to get the Hornet and Grasshopper re-releases in stock? I mean the Hornet has been out for quite a while now. I find it hard to believe that they are still filling back orders. If it takes this long for these kits, then I can just imagine how long it will take to get a Frog from Tower when it is re-released.

Demand exceeded Supply by far. Tamiya probably noticed that the re-release Hornets and Grass Hoppers are flying off Tower's warehouse shelves. So they decided to re-release more and more vintage models. My guess is that more and more re-releases of popular vintage models will be coming from Tamiya.

they are only back ordered becuase the folks who back ordered before you gets first dibs so every shipment goes to those who backordered first I say just back order it and you will get it eventually.

my local hoby shop has hornet in stock and i think they also have grasshopper too(not grasshopper II)

I have had The Grasshopper on back order for over a month now! Glad to see that they finally got the Hornet in stock! I already got one from Hong Kong last November. The only thing is that the Hong Kong kits don't come with the ESC. I forgot to mention that Tower Hobbies doesn't even have any info on the Desert Gator either. Is that kit available in the uS yet?? It seems like it has been out long enough.

Hey Al I just checked there on Tower this morning and they have everything in stock with limited quantities. My order went in yesterday for a NIB GH, Hornet, and LB. I just checked the site again and it still says the Grasshopper wont be in stock until late Sep. Mine has been on back order for a while! I already got 2 Lunch Boxes and will probably order the Hornet today! Thanks! I will have to keep checking the site.

Yeah Al keep checking the site. Its always changing and yesterday is said "In Stock" limited quantities.
