The title explains it I think... I have a Kyosho Maxxum nearing completion on the restoration at the moment. The reproduction gearbox cover from TC member Tamiyoman is on it's way here, I just need a pinion, fit electronics and try it out.

Meanwhile I'd also like to sort of restore the body. It will require stripping of the paint, but I'd also like to have some decals. The problem is that the body is not in perfect condition, and I won't pay a 70-ish dollar bill for some (you have to admit) very simple stickers. So I was wondering if someone has the decal set and could make a scan for me? Or just of the "Maxxum FF" logo? (Since that's really a key part of the graphics on the body I think) - It would be great to undo the body of it's currently horrifying colour (red-pink-orange-like basecoat with yellow and green paintbrush stripes) and replace it with the sharp lines or at least the logo of the Maxxum

PS: I'll post some pictures of the car soon

Wow  Nice! Not the original colours it seems, but that doesn't matter really :) I think the red+black looks way better than the blue+orange+red - and if I wanted it in the original colours, there's Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator to get that done, and photo references to get the colours right.

One more question - actually not related to the decals at all... Does anyone happen to know if the motor pinion it 0.6 module or uses a different teeth size?

The correct size of the pinion is 0.8 module, but it is exactly the same size as more readily available 32dp pinions.

Interesting  Thanks! I already thought it was a different size than 0.6 module though I had my doubts on how well I observed it, so I really couldn't tell for sure. In short, it's good to know what it is! I'll source and order a nice 0.8 module/32dp steel pinion then! :)

PS: Is this specifically a 32 Metric pitch, or doesn't that matter?

32 dp isn't metric, it's an imperial measurement. 0.8 module is the metric size.

0.8 module is equal to 31.75dp, which is close enough for a 32dp pinion to be compatible.

Glad you got the Repro Maxxum gear cover alright and your happy with it. Paint it black and you will never know its there lol.

Im hoping to make repro Maxxum Decals and Body available in January (just too busy at moment!).

It would be really cool if those were available, too, especially considering how nice these repro gear covers are! :D As for the gear cover, I'm thinking about it... Should I keep it white and make the body white, too, or should I made the gear cover black and think a little about the paint scheme?

I had not thought about that, the body being white it may blend in being white also?. Then again you could always just tint the cover slightly to make it appear more original.
Thene again you could paint the body mettalic Grey and do some work with the decals to make a different body. Im sure INTEGRA FAN told me once that the Ultima pro body is almost identical to Maxxum body and when painted will be hard to tell!, i have the original Maxxum bodyset and decals and the repro ultima and have compared them and he is right they are very similar.

I already have the mould for the body i just need to get the decals to the printers in January (when i have more time).

Good news is the printers now have some of the files for printing the decal, they are hoping to start them in early march (along with several others) you have to get the best printers you can and the one i'm using just happens to be very busy!.

Thanks
