Kyosho Manuals In Pdf

Recommended Posts

I recently put together a file of approx 100 PDF manuals for Kyosho RC cars ( think for RC cars there are 107 of them), i also have 2 HOR Motorbike manuals, 57 plane manuals, 44 helicopter manuals and 34 Boat manuals, i would like to know the best place to make them available to people (if they are interested?), what i dont have is time to be sending these to people on an individual basis so im looking for a recommendation as to where to send them for hosting!.

Any help appreciated. Most of them are in English!. Below is a list of manuals,i also have some exploded diagrams of these cars too.

Im not going to list the other stuff as i imagine its RC cars most people would be interested in.

All but one of the nostalgic series is here (just missing the MGB MK I i think)

Hi Tamiyoman,

That's quite a list  And I think it would be very nice if these were available online! Can't you contact an admin here on TC and look if you can get these poisted here (despite this being a Tamiya website) - We already have a few Schumacher manuals listed, so why not a Kyosho list, too?

I decided to host them on my own website which will go online in january sometime (possibly february), its easier for me to get my father to do it (he is building the site) and that way we have a reference section, its easier than uploading it all toi several sites and spending days scanning manuals.

I can walk you through this.

DON'T use Windows Explorer / Windows drag and drop alone to do it, that will nearly always result in corrupt discs. You will need Nero or similar.

First up, go and buy some RITEK G05 8xDVD-R discs (they are the most compatible and reliable disc on the market, I have used them in everything for years).

Next, have you got a copy of Nero at all on your PC? Have a look in Start / Programs / Nero (some name or version) / Data / Nero Burning ROM. If not buy it, it's quite cheap from a local independent computer shop (like 10 / 15 GBP at the most I think for an older version, you only need V7 and indeed NVE5 which seems to be with the full version of Nero V8 is terrible, Nero VE4 is best) When you have this and can launch the program, then

Then make sure that your DVD burner is selected at the top right (you will see something like "D:Optiarc"). If the correct one is not selected (i.e. if you have multiple CD / DVD drives) then click cancel in the window that has come up, and go into there above and click and you get a drop down menu to select the correct drive that you want to burn to. Then click on File and then New from the drop down menu.

If you have only 1 DVD burner then it will select it correctly by default so you can leave it like that.

Make sure that under New Compilation in the top right of the window you can see DVD. If not and it says CD, go in there and alter it to DVD. Underneath it should be highlighted on "DVD-ROM (ISO)". If not, click on it to highlight it in blue. Now make sure that on the top right of the window the Multisession tab is selected and then under where it says "Multisession" further below, that it says "No Multisession".

Now put your blank DVD-R disc in the drive and wait a few seconds for it to be detected and then click on Nero Express down near the bottom of the window. Nero Express will launch (which is the simplified version of Nero) and then choose Data DVD and then Add and then select your various files by clicking on the 1st one, holding shift down, the clicking on the last one, or select all by pressing CTRL down and then dab the "a" key, and deselect anything you don't want by holding CTRL down and clicking on it.

When finished selecting click on add at the bottom and then click on finished / cancel next to it. The window that popped up when you clicked Add the first time will dissappear and you will see the files ready to be burned. Now click Next and then click the thing which is in the middle extreme left which opens a panel so you can select the Writing Speed. Choose 4x. Never ever burn a disc faster than 4x or you'll end up with bad burns. Make sure Verify data on disc after burning is ticked, and that Allow files to be added later (multisession disc) is not ticked and then click on burn. Your disc will now be written and then verified.

Now you should have a disc with all of your manuals on it. Make a couple of copies for back up as discs are cheap.

If you have more than 4.3 GB of files then use a Dual layer disc and you can then fit on 8GB. If you still have too much for a single disc, then put half the files on one disc and the rest on a 2nd disc.

When you have your site up I would like in particular to be able to download an English manual for the Kyosho Progress.

Cheers,

Alistair G.

Hi, the website is currently under construction estimated completion is approx 8-10 weeks from now, we decided to get this going as im sick of ebay taking 10% just for causing me problems!., so not only will the site have a manuals section it will also have a shop with ALL my kyosho stock (currently about 50% listed on ebay although every day im taking items off there!) prices will also be 10% cheaper too plus you wont have to pay membership like some other sites do before you get your discounts (thats just taking the ****!).

Cheers

Its under construction right now, we have to start loading all the stock and pictures onto it next week, so it may be ready in 2-3 weeks on its basic format, then another 2-3 weeks for the manuals section to be added.

Thanks
