What You Done With Your Slash

Hi all, just thought it would be handy to get a proper slash topic going, im sure alot of us even hardened tamiya peeps have one.

mine is the stock red bodied one with

Ezrun 60amp esc and 8.5t motor

32 pitch gearing using e-maxx pinions and revo spur gearing at the mo is 14/58

using a mixture of 8.4v 3700mah vapextech packs, but just ordered some 5000mah intellect 8.4v packs.

this seems to work well for me.

Went with the associated SC10 instead of the slash. geared with a 75t spur and an 18t pinion. running a ezrun 60 amp speed control and a ezrun 5.5t motor with 7.2v 4600mah batteries.

far to quick but great fun. planning on doing a bit of racing with it so will have to tone it down a bit just to make it controllable

Plans include a nice JConcepts Bajr or Proline Sand Rover shell and moving over to 32dp spur/pinion is apparently a wise move too (spits out dirt better, allegedly)

First thing I did was put the 10T Vileneon setup in my Slash with the 23T pinion, and a Futaba R603FF in it to use my 3PM radio. After blowing out the stock shocks one too many times made the switch to the Traxxas big bores. After stripping the shock mount hole (because of replacing the blown out stock shocks) went with the metal Integy rear mount. Have been thinking about either restoring the stock motor/ESC to race it in the stock class or just get rid of the thing.

SC10 has a 10T EzRun with the 35A ESC, pretty close to the perfect setup for the truck, although a few people think it still has too much power and not enough traction depending on the gearing.

Everything is running on 2S 5200mAh LiPo.
