Back Into R/c Cars Just Bought A Tt-01 - Does It Look Any Good?

Hi,

Just fancied this after being out of it for a couple of years. Just bought a Lancia TT-01 58342 with some hop-ups. I paid £100 total for this, does that sound like a fair price.

Waiting to get it delieverd.. I had a Terra Scorcher 17 years ago, then 4 or 5 years back I bought a few.. BMW mini, WRC Focus (TL-01), Baja Champ, Audi A4 DTM, Subaru impreza, TLT-1 and built a crawler. I ended up selling it all and bought a Nikon D-SLR.. looking forward to drifting again..

Anything I need to know or look for with this?

Looks very nice. It has the alloy steering linkage hop up which is one of the few worthy hopups on the TT01 and it also has the carbon upper frame which I have just ordered for mine.

I'd say the other worthy hopups on a TT01 are adjustable shocks, an alloy motor mount and possibly an alloy shaft depending what motor you're running. You can go completely crazy and replace literrally everything with alloy and graphite on these but you reach peak performance at an early point and a lot of it is just for show.

Great for drifting, might want to go about installing a quicker motor and locking the front diff.

TT01's are one of the best budget drifters you can buy with ample amount of upgrades avaliable.

If you were thinking of going into drift comps you might want to look at something more spec like a Yokomo.

Nice looking car, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Some Shoe-Goo adhesive applied from the inside will repair that crack nicely.

I would lock the rear diff instead of the front if you want to drift.

It appears the car already has a very nice selection of hop-ups and extras, so I think you got a very nice deal! Enjoy.
