So here it is:

I am not so very good in spray painting Tamiya Body kits (and i'm working on a King Blackfoot and a Re-Issue L.B.)

What's the trick to this, to make it not run out and look good?

i'm using a TS-16 for the L.B.

What's the best way to apply this stuff?

Regards!

Believe me, you want to spray some primer first to get the paint to stick.

Best tips i ever got here on TC, well amongst the best anyway.

Just a quick question- If your spraying lexan and like what the instructions state- spray the underside of the body first then won't the color of the primer show through the lexan? Or did you mean it in relation to the Lunchbox?

Akemage surely means hard plastic bodies, which are painted on the outside.

(It does exist transparent primers suitable for lexan, but when using a high quality lexan paint, there is no need for that.)

Also, I would like to add that Tamiya TS-paint are very high quality with characteristics that make them great for painting surfaces with the tiniest of details without clogging them up, but also reveal any imperfections and because the paints are very thin, sags, runs and uneven colour is quite typical when used by unexperienced people. The TS-paints simpyl require some experience to get good results. Especially the light and semi-translucent colours like TS8 Italian red and TS16 Yellow are rather challenging. This statement is not only based on my personal experience, but also on many years of customer feedback.

I highly recommend the TS-paints, but at the same time want to warn anyone who haven't used these paints before to be prepared for a challenge. Surfaces must be properly prepared, clean and dustfree, and paint should be sprayed on in light and even coats. Careful work and patience are key words. If you have none or little experience with spraying, are in a hurry or are simply impatient, then spraying with TS-paints will often not give a satisfying result.
