Hi all,

Firstly many thanks, as I've been lurkng for weeks now deciding what to do with a TL-01 chassis I have. I was initally thinking of adding the long suspension arms etc and making it into a truck/truggy. In the end I decided on a VLB.

I'd like to paint it the original yellow, HOWEVER I'd like to make it slightly unique by adding metal flake.

Thus my question. Is there either a metal flake yellow on the market or a clear laquer that can be painted over the base colour that contains the flakes?

Check out this ebay store Paint with Pearl. He has some great products, pearls and metal flake and thermo paints.

Hi Nathan, seek out your local motor paint factors. Chances are at least one of em can mix what you want and provide it in aerosol form. Usually you get good advice on prep and undercoat advice from em too. Prices are normally cheaper than say a well known car accessory store.
