Well here is my Boomerang runner again, now with different wheels (and some new rear tires)

I think the Boomerang looks good with the gold wheels, comments ?

The speed is good :( The gears works very good I think, they just get worn faster.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this "abuse" , I have most of the spare parts so I can replace them..

Here you can see some of the damage that came after a good deal of driving :

Good grief. I remember at school (about 20 odd years ago) there was a guy who had a Boomerang with a black motor sprint, and I thought that was fast. Now I see I was wrong :(

Good stuff.

The rear stabilizer is an aftermarket product from "Dirt Burners".

Probably most effective when driving on hard surfaces. Driving off road works best with the wheels moving more freely.

Hey just wondering is the standard cheese straw center drive shaft still in there or have you upgraded it.

What pinion is on your ezrun brushless????

Thanks

Mark.

I used the thin one at first and it did not fail. I Have now put in the more solid drive shaft.

It is a 15 pinion.

Some more pictures..

Hi,

the smaller pinion gear is 13T the other ones are 14T, 15T, 16T and 17T.

I suggest you to use steel pinion gear. The alluminium original ones are cheese.

Thanks Max.

I always use steel pinions from new or a rebuilt tranny.

I learnt that over 20 yrs ago. LOL.

I just bought a ne Ezrun 9.5 combo of the bay for around 45 quid as you would say or $90 AU.

cheers.

Wow great fast Boomerang. I am using TRF dampers on my Boomerang a bit short and needs some work arounds, I suggest you try the DF-03 aluminum dampers which I believe is longer and should fit just right. The aluminum dampers are great, but I think universal shafts and modern tires will have more impact w/ your setup.

Hi all,

Please forgive my considerable ignorance, I can see that the front shocks are attached at the top with supershot shock mounts (?), but what about at the bottom? :D Can you post pictures of the lower part of the front shocks to show what parts are required to attach it to the lower arms and where. Please bear with me as I am not familiar with the supershot :)

Thanks,

Anand

I say its a H.P suspension kit from Tamiya back in those days.

The H.P (high perfermance) is a Super shot suspension package as a Hop Up for the Hot Shot.

It can be used with a Fox to convert the front mono shock to dual. The Boomerang has the same gearbox and arms as the Hot Shot so this mod was easy to do.

It comes with all the hardwear to mount them. The botom arms have a little metal eye that screws in to mount the botom of the shock.

This example maybe different but doesn't look it to me.

Cheers.

Mark.
